Description The purpose of this activity is to understand the concepts of acid-base reactions, neutralization and molarity. The lab will be introduced with a series of test tubes showing the different colors red cabbage juice has for different pH values. Prior to this inquiry-based experiment, studetns have perormed respiratory experiments using bromthymol blue, litmus paper, and pH paper as indicators.

This is a great activity for high school biology to understand chemistry. I have done this lab before (though not this exact PDF) and the students really enjoy using the "veggie juice" and observing the color change. The only hard part on me was preparing the "veggie juice" at home because it smells bad.
