This is the first year that our campus has decided to place a stronger emphasis in the use of technology in the classroom. The result is quite a mixture. Majority of the students were exposed to a richer learning environment, although a handful was “distracted” and overwhelmed by what the online sites could provide. As with traditional instruction, academic dishonesty is still a persistent concern. Overall, it was a positive experience and hopefully in time, the accompanying growing pains associated with the adoption of a new approach would recede in significance.

I think with any type of teaching strategy you will have teachers in the building who grasp it, love it and excel at it and, others who do not do it so well. It seems to be a few of our older teachers that have not embraced the technology as much as others but are still great teachers without it.
