I find it extremely helpful to see the depth different instructors/institutions expect of their students when learning the origins and insertions of muscles. We have one 3 hour lab to cover this topic and I have my students learn 25 muscles. When they complain, I'll show them this!
This chart could also be used in the laboratory in conjunction with arm, leg and torso muscle models as well as full skeletons. I have my students use colored label tape to show the O's and I's of a muscle on the skeleton.
