Description This is an independent research project intended for second semester high school biology students. It could easily be modified for any age life science students. The purpose of the project is to allow students to conduct their own animal behavior research investigation, from beginning to end. The process models the way animal research is conducted by research scientists.

A well-organized and detailed set of instructions (for teachers and students) for completion of a research project in animal behavior.  While written for high school students, it could easily be adapted to undergraduate level (require the use of academic journal articles, for example).  This would be a good addition to General Biology II, and a way to incorporate research into the curriculum if your college does not have an undergraduate research program.
