A great pro could be the use of computers to perform simulations as an effective way to allow students to carry out certain laboratories without having to purchase and consume many materials for all of the students in the class. They can also work on the simulations at their own pace. The use of guidelines and textbook teaching strategies can be an extensive con and can remove the human characteristic out of teaching and learning. They also remove the chance for curiosity of the subject matter and therefore could hinder unique experimental ideas.
