Collection Description This collection provides ideas for teaching about the structure and function of DNA to high school biology students. This collection is appropriate for classrooms without biotechnology equipment. Describe how this collection was used. This collection was used to enhance and describe topics related to DNA structure and function. I do not have equipment to do gel electrophoresis or PCR or other biotechnology experiments, so I collected activities and resources that would help students understand more DNA and biotechnology. Describe who used this collection (classroom, laboratory, education level, etc). High school biology classroom. Describe how this collection works. This collection has an animation, a lab manual, two activities related to DNA coiling, and a link to more resources. It is intended to enhance instruction on DNA. Please enter suggestions for colleagues. This collection can be used to help provide more real-life applications when teaching about DNA. | |||
